FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What people ask about OtoWos.
How many instalments does OtoWos offer?
Up to 12 monthly instalments for individual buyers and up to 18 for commercial buyers. There are no membership fees and no hidden charges.
How does escrow-protected collection work?
The amount the buyer pays does not go straight to the seller; it is held in escrow until the terms of the transaction are met, then released. The structure protects both buyer and seller.
Is there chargeback exposure?
OtoWos provides zero-chargeback protection. The collection risk arising from a payment dispute does not stay with the seller.
When is the seller paid?
Payment is made T+1, meaning the next day. The gap between the sale and the funds reaching the seller is kept short.
Can someone else’s card be used to pay?
Yes. OtoWos supports third-party cards and split card payments; the price of the vehicle can be divided across several cards. A remote payment link can be sent over WhatsApp.
How are legal compliance and integrations handled?
OtoWos is licensed by the Central Bank of Türkiye (TCMB) and has integrations with the TCMB, the banking regulator (BDDK) and the revenue administration (GİB). All transactions are kept in a legally valid digital archive.
How quickly does the virtual POS go live?
Activation happens the same day — a marked difference in an area where setting up collection infrastructure classically takes weeks.
What is the bank MCC restriction and how is it handled?
The MCC (merchant category code) is how banks classify a business, and in the car dealership category instalments are usually closed. Because OtoWos runs on licensed payment institution infrastructure, it can offer 12–18 month instalments on all credit cards.
Is OtoWos only payment infrastructure?
Payment is the core, but not on its own: the virtual POS, escrow, chargeback protection and a legally valid digital archive are part of the same flow. Solving payment while keeping the contract, the handover and the record in separate places means none of them corroborates the others when a dispute arises.
